40’s Style Radical Custom Brief History
This multi Award Winning Traditional 40’s Style Lead Sled was debuted at the Grand National Oakland Roadster Show in 1985. It was entered in the
tough but very exclusive ISCA Radical Custom Class.
In the ISCA shows, entered from 1985 to 1991 it always won the prestigious ISCA Best Radical Custom Trophy. It also earned the coveted George
Barris Custom D’Elegance Award.
1985-New Car entered the Grand National Oakland Roadster Show.The body and paint, originally one color red, by Bill Reasoner, Walnut Creek,
California.
1988-Entered the Grand Naitonal Oakland Roadster Show with major body & color change. The Ivory color with gold Murano Pearl by Bill Reasoner, Walnut
Creek, California.
1991-Entered the Grand National Roadster Show with major color change. The mauve color with silver Murano Pearl art work by Art Himsl, Concord,
California.
2006-Entered the Grand National Roadster Show with major body mods on rear fender and skirt area. Custom skirt plug for mold by Joe Moreno Customs,
Wrightwood, Calfornia. New skirts installed with flared fender to skirt, body work, by Keith “Kid” Dean of South End Customs, Hemet, California.
Finish body and paint work by Bob Dutton of Bob’s Custom Design Works, Upland, Ca. Final pinstriping and signed by Art Himsl, Concord
