MURANO PEARL PAINT HISTORY
Murano Pearl is made from “sea life” eg; pearls and seashells. It was outlawed forty five years ago or so by some EPA group. Consequently it has been out
of manufacture since.
It is the only accent added to your paint that makes a sophisticated paint job really come a live. It came in a variety of colors eg: blue green, gold,
red , orange, purple, and others. Only a teaspoon or two is necessary for the entire mix. It is still available through some very select ole time painters who know how to shoot it and have saved and perserved some
after all of these years. It came in 1/4 and 1/2 pint jars and can be perserved indefinitely if kept in cold storage, (your refrigerator!)
Obviously the supply is dwindling and is zealously guarded by those who still have some. Because of my age and I am from that earlier period I still have
contacts with some of those vintage painters. Those dear friends allow me to share some of their Murano Pearl stash! Thanks, Joe.
