WW2 AIRPLANES CHANCE VAUGHT F4U CORSAIR (NAVY) AND NORTH AMERICAN P51 MUSTANG BUD ANDERSON / CHUCK YEAGER (WEATHER VANES)

A very talented  friend of mine created these gems with the original intent they were to be used as “weather vanes”.  The idea was to prvide as a present this prize. As the saying goes, for the man who has everything!

I got involved in the finish and mega detail of these six ft. plus wing span beauties originally for myself.  I now have these two survivors, one Chance Vaught F4U Corsair, (Navy) and one North American P51 Mustang Bud Anderson / Chuck Yeager in my collection.

These two are the last of the original eight sets that were made.  Except for the two shown in the weather vane display pictures, all the owners of the rest are not mounted on their roofs but zealously displayed in their dens, living rooms, hobby rooms, hangers and/or in their collector car garages!

If you get a chance to visit the planes I have for sale you will agree that the attention to scale, detail and authenticity of the paint finish is too beautiful to be left out in the weather as weather vanes as originally intended.

About four years ago the shop that we had the molds, unfortunately burnt to the ground. Sadly this ended any and all future production of these birds.

The two that I have for sale are the last ones available.  Thanks, Joe    $2,900 each
